Empaths and Food

Being a "sensitive" emotionally also affects our physical health. As emotional sensitives, we are also physical sensitives. Certain foods and medications our bodies have a hard time handling. We may be prone to allergies or reactions to certain foods, so we really need to be careful and listen to our bodies as to what upsets and what does not. Keeping a food journal to detect reactions to certain foods would be helpful.

There is a deeper awareness here, tho, with respect to what we put into our bodies. Since everything is energy, and we have already discerned that there is higher energy (light, helpful, productive, happy, positive) and lower energy (heavy, dark, sad, negative) in the universe, foods also have a higher or lower energy vibration attached to them.

The more raw and unadulterated the food is, obviously the higher and lighter the energy vibration is. The more processed the food is, the lower the energy vibration is.

Coffee, alcohol, nicotine and the addictive foods have a lower vibration to them. Sugar does as well.

As you start to get in touch with your own vibration, if you can try and maintain a light happy mood (which is equivalent to a higher vibration) and you eat or drink a lower vibration substance, make a note in your journal how you feel within an hour or two after the ingestion. Is there any fatigue, irritation, apathy, agitation, anger, impatient feelings? This is a message to your body that this particular substance is not good for your body.

If you maintain a consistent diet of higher vibrational foods, it will help to balance out your energy and add to a happy state of mind/body/soul/spirit.
