In a past blog I spoke about the energy centers that we all have in our bodies, called chakras. We also talked about what each center represents in terms of emotions, or qualities, that we all possess to some degree. As we start to focus on each energy center and give it attention, it tends to bring out more of the emotion we seek to develop.
In this blog I would like to discuss how to develop more self-confidence. The solar plexus chakra, located just underneath our diaphragm, is the energy center that deals with power and the ability to stand on our own two feet and that is where our self-confidence lies. As empaths, this energy center is fairly weak usually because we have such a knack for giving away our power to those whose energy or feelings we absorb. To be able to block those feelings more readily, or to be able to stand up for ourselves, or even to accomplish things we are perhaps fearful of, we need to develop this energy center.
One exercise you can do to help this along is to visualize the color yellow beginning in our solar plexus - a really bright yellow, like a fluorescent lemon yellow. Visualize it starting there and then expand that color throughout your body and try to "push" it out of your body to encompass the area around your whole body. Imagine it pulsating and FEEL the strength of the color - it is almost as if you are using your will to push it out all around you. Feel yourself becoming more self confident - imagine doing and being that confident self and try to think about it as you go through your day. This will eventually strengthen your core thinking about how powerful we are - and it will start from the first time you envision this.
We are powerful beings and we need to start living as such!
