Empaths and Our Innate Power

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

This quote came to me today as a result of repeated reminders this weekend (from my own experience as well as my clients) that feeling the energy from STRONG WILLED people will almost always make us cower beneath it. I have had this happen to me so many times in the past, from early childhood all the way through my current life and I never felt able to counteract it. They would always WIN - their strong energy would create fear in me or would make me feel "less than" and it would impede my performance or my behavior.

But in fact we ARE POWERFUL! All of us! There are tools that we can use to magnify that power so that we feel confident more and as we develop our skills it can become more consistent. Our solar plexus, like I mentioned before, is the seat of our confidence and power. Working with that yellow color and amplifying it as the symbol of our power while FEELING our power is a great exercise to get us grounded in our power. Again, think of the color yellow, FEEL it get brighter and brighter and expand it from your solar plexus outward and FEEL the power as you do this! Do it daily! Do it many times a day!!

We are all beings of LIGHT - all God's children - all having the same worth - all here to make a contribution. By feeling comfortable in our own power and self-worth by strengthening our CENTER we can be the "lights" of the world and so shine our individual paths to better ourselves and others, and to be happy in this life!
